My decision to quit smoking.

I have decided to quit smoking starting from 1 December. This time I intend to quit for good. I am smoking for more than 5 years and now I am smoking more then 2 packets per day, up to 5 packets.

The reasons that made me take this decision are the following:

  • It is bad for my health.

  • Starting from next year the prices of the tobacco will ingress with 300% in my region.

  • No nonsmoking girl likes to kiss a smoker.

  • I will be more independent of time send in close spaces.

  • I will demonstrate my will.

I intend to follow my process on this blog and maybe it can help others quit smoking and also motivate me.

Did you follow through? I was also a smoker, and wanted to quit. I recently had my wisdom teeth pulled, so I decided then would be the perfect time for me to quit. To say the least, I lasted a week because I got an infection from the surgery. As soon as I was well again, I gave in. But, that was yesterday, and today I'm trying to quit again.

NOne of above mentioned reasons are gud enough to quit smoking. I too was a smoker, though not as much as u r. Anyhow think abt the loved ones who will bare consequence of your smoking. Probbaly you die, you get bedridden... I feel its ok for you, bt why should your loved ones bare the pain as a result of your wrong doing. I have realised it a bit late. But ... as always, better late than never. Enjoy the gud life & health give to you by your loved ones, its time to return something for them.

I have quit smoking for maybe 2 days, then maybe 1 week and then about 8 months and I've left it for good!

You can't quit smoking by trying to force yourself not to! You find something to replace it. Consider a dumb example : when you stand near a heater, u feel the heat and soon u moove away from it. Then you start feeling cold and come back near the heater! (No use)[heater = fags], you have to get involved with your time so that you never realize your'e feeling cold! You can't quit by blogging about it coz ur just thinking about it all day! if your'e busy doing something you like - gaming, physics, hang-gliding or anything... you won't smoke simply because you have more fun and better things to do! and its very natural to see someone smoke and get tempted... go ahead smoke.. and you'll realize it was just a waste. We're humans ya... find a purpose to quit... most of us wont care about "lung damage" and crap like that, find a strong selfisg reason for yourself... My reason is my lovely girlfriend, (I dont think many would quit smoking for their dads and mums but who knows..)

i dun think quittin smokin needs a legitimate reason,
ppl who smoke usually kno the goods or bads in doin so...
& i guess there is a reason that ppl do smoke.

but at the same time,
when we decide to smoke,
we are the ones that are responsible for our bodies as well.

i do smoke occasionally, mostly socially, ..... coming from me its prlly not very convincing.
but That doesnt matter either.

im not here to convince,
just do what you feel like doing.

g luck with whatever you decide to do.
